Every Tuesday we celebrate #pubday, aka the day new books officially hit bookshelves! It’s our first pubday of March, and arguably the biggest publishing day of the year (so far!). I’ve got a list of 25+ big books hitting shelves today, and that’s just some of the many books publishing this week. Because it’s an election year, you’re going to see a lot more books coming out in the next few months, as publishing will be much lighter heading into November as readers focus less on books and more on news and current events. So expect a LOT of books between now and Labor Day.
As for today’s notable new releases:
READ IT! LISTEN TO THE LIE by Amy Tintera: just announced this morning as the March GMA book club pick, LISTEN TO THE LIE is definitely worth prioritizing. A razor-sharp true crime satire about a woman who returns to her southern hometown to clear her name of murder, the book is fast-paced, deliciously fun, and full of scandal and soap, not to mention a couple solid twists.
READ IT! BIG TIME by Ben H. Winters: I am a huge fan of Winters’ speculative fiction, and his LAST DETECTIVE series is one of my favorites in the genre. If you haven’t read him before, I highly recommend checking out that book, as well as his dystopic GOLDEN STATE (about a city where lying is outlawed). His latest -about a mother who discovers a government conspiracy- is earning great buzz, and sold very quickly in a big auction for tv/film. I’ll definitely be prioritizing this one.
READ IT! THIS COULD BE US by Kennedy Ryan: As many of you know, I don’t read a ton of romance, but no joke, I DEVOURED Kennedy Ryan’s BEFORE I LET GO, the first in her Skyland series, about a divorced couple who reconnect in the wake of a tragedy. That book was so sexy and emotional and well-written, and Ryan is back with the next book, which follows the story of Soledad (a friend of the main character in BILG). I’m telling you, if you’re not a big fan of this genre, this is a great starting point if you’re looking to dabble. I can’t wait to read this book.
